Yacht Club

The Dar es Salaam Yacht Club (DYC) is on western side of the Msasani peninsula.

From town, turn right onto Haile Selassie Road and drive all the way along to the Four Corners intersection near IST upper campus. So turn left at Four Corners onto Chole Road and go along Chole Road over the speed bumps, past the Slipway road on your left, past the Valhalla road/taxi stand on your right, and keep going another half a kilometre until you find a left turn down a bumpy road signposted as Yacht Club.(There are a few dukas on the left corner). It is opposite Transit Supermarket Rd.

Turn right at the end of this dirt road, and the DYC entrance is on the left about two hundred metres along. Tell the gate staff that you are going to the hash and hopefully someone will have arranged for visitors and their cars to be allowed in.

To find the beach banda, park at the top somewhere and walk down the sloping driveway into the lower boatyard area. The banda is immediately to your right facing onto the beach.
